Students can earn extra credit, community service hours, and a line on a resume by participating in the Museum Studies Club at Santa Fe.
Museums require a broad range of skill sets such as business and finance, marketing, education, design, art and art history, education, public speaking, and more.
This semester, students will be working with professionals at the Matheson Historical Museum in downtown Gainesville.
The club sections include the following:
- curation: select, design and plan the exhibit
- education: present the exhibits to a diverse audience
- development: budgeting, finance, marketing and promotion
- collections management: store, handle, preserve, acquire pieces
The extra credit criteria is listed below.
